The game

Chronogram is a conversation puzzle in which a Mystery Guest takes on the role of a historical figure. Ask questions about their life, work, or surroundings, then use the replies to work out their identity.

The conversation is generated by AI; it is a game portrayal rather than a real interview or a reliable historical source. Replies can be misleading or inaccurate.

A new daily guest and the archive provide different people to investigate. Your limited questions make choosing what to ask part of the puzzle.
